About Velogear

VG_OwnersVelogear.com has been your trusted source for quality cycling apparel, as well as unique gear and gifts, since 1999. We love bikes, and we know how important cycling is to the lifestyles of our customers. After all, we are customers ourselves.

Our company was founded by the owners of VeloNews, an industry leading magazine covering competitive cycling. In the early days, Velogear.com offered a small selection of unique gifts to help the magazine’s customers buy hard to find and ultra cool cycling items. Velogear.com gained a loyal customer base by continually expanding our distinctive product offerings and always bringing cheer to the holidays with a great catalog filled with the latest cycling gifts.

In 2009, Velogear.com was purchased by two dedicated cyclists and industry veterans who are committed to spreading the joy of cycling to everyone they can reach. Kent McNeill and Jay Thomas bring a proven customer-focused perspective and a brick-and-mortar retail sensibility to Velogear.com. With stores in Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri, Kent and Jay are making it their mission to provide online shoppers with quality products and exceptional service at Velogear.com.

Our team has a vision for serving customers by understanding their needs. We believe in taking care of the customer first, last, and in between. It’s nothing more than good old-fashioned customer service, which seems like it’s harder and harder to find these days.

Our customers deserve to be treated with respect, courtesy, and professionalism. It comes down to simple things like taking an extra step to ensure your needs are met every time you shop with us. It’s really not that complicated.

At Velogear.com customer service is our best selling item.

We invite you to browse our selection to learn more about our unique offerings. Please consider signing up for our legendary holiday catalog and our emails so you can receive special offers and stay current on new arrivals.

    Hey guys,

I heard about your online store and see that you are carrying training DVDs and thought you might want to consider carrying our epicRIDES virtual cycling DVDs as well. We were just picked up my QBP and would LOVE to be in your catalog as well. We offer aggressive wholesale pricing and would be happy to send you a sample to preview.

    Thanks!

Velogear sux, don’t buy their products. You can find better stuff elsewhere.

Yea, looked at their stuff, unimpressed. Better prices at Bike Nashbar and more selection too.

These clowns supposedly love bikes, but actually hate fat bikes? Take your business elsewhere. These idiots are why some cyclists get a bad name.

wow, seems like you hurt the feelings of all the hipster fatbikers with your break down of why fatbikes are impracticable for all but riders north of the arctic circle. dont worry, i hear that the big companies are making long-travel dual-suspension 20″ BMX bikes with tank treads instead of wheels that use all proprietary components that are irish peat bog specific, so they will have a new trend to attach themselves to by next season. so, get ready for the Bog-specific fatbike revolution! hey fatbikers, how is a flat change on that? carry a fire extinguisher instead of a can of air? maybe i ought to dust off my good ol “soft ride” road bike. hipsters thought that was a great idea too.
